Welcome to Associate Prof. Zhanjun Gu’s nanomaterials research group at IHEP. Our group is interested in the synthesis of new classes of functional nanomaterials and nanostructures, with an emphasis on developing new synthetic methodologies that will enable the rational control of materials compositions, morphologies, properties and functionalities.
Research Projects
1. Synthesis of one-dimensional nanostructures by developing new synthetic approaches
2. Development of upconversion nanoparticle-derived multifunctional materials for bioimaging, sensor and drug delivery.
3. Growth of carbon nanotubes and graphene-reinforced ceramic matrix composites for light-weight, high-strength and high-temperature applications.
