As an alternative to Feynman rules, on-shell formalism offers an efficient and elegant way to compute amplitudes with arbitrary number of external particles. The construction relies crucially on an appropriate momentum shift. In the massless case, this formalism has proven to be particularly powerful for n-point graviton or gluon amplitudes. However, less is known in the massive case. In this talk, I present a momentum shift in the massive on-shell formalism, which allows us to construct amplitudes in QED, electroweak and supergravity theories. In addition, this method is applied to derive some higher spin (s>1) Compton amplitudes. In the specific case of spin 3/2, using the recursion relations, one recovers supergravity from the bottom up.
个人简介:
Wenqi Ke is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Minnesota. She obtained her bachelor and master's degree at the Ecole Normale Supérieure and a PhD degree in 2023 at the LPTHE,Sorbonne Université. Her research involves early universe cosmology,higher spins,and scattering amplitudes,as well as intersections of these subjects.
