International conference on string theory

　　Welcome to the website of the Strings 2016 conference, which will take place in Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, from August 1 to August 5, 2016.

　　The Strings conference is an annual event that brings the entire string theory community together. Since the 1980s, it has grown to be the largest and most important conference in the field. The aim is to review recent developments in string theory and to stimulate scientific exchanges among the participants.

　　This is the second Strings conference organised in Beijing, after Strings 2006. Following the tradition, besides scientific talks, the conference will also include some public lectures open to a general audience.
